Blue Thunder has safely returned from the Aviation Nation Air Show at Nellis Air Force Base, NV. What an incredible event it was; Aviation Nation can simply be described as one of the best air shows ever.

Blue Thunder Air Racing thanks Boyd Gaming, Jim Pera and Jim Kippen of World of Wings, Bob Cannon of Cannon Aviation Insurance, all the volunteers, Air Force Reservists, and Enlisted Air Force personnel, especially Col. "Lips" Hertberg, for making such a wonderful show happen. Without them, there is no way that the show would have been as successful as it was.
Blue Thunder ran very well demonstrating air racing with fellow sport class racers, T-6, and jets. The Thunder Mustang really wants to scoot and its performance can be traced to the generous support of our sponsors, AeroMag, Falconer Racing Engines, ERC Racing Fuels, and Hartzell Propellers.
As the air show season draws to a close Blue Thunder Air Racing is focusing on what will be needed to continue to be a top Sport Class air racer. We thank all of our fans for staying in touch and cheering us on. Keep an eye out for Blue Thunder; you never know what will be next.

Blue Thunder Air Racing congratulates Darryl Greenamyer, his crew chief Andy Chiavetta, and the rest of their team on winning the Sport Class Gold Race at the 41st Annual National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. And what a Reno it was. The Reno Air Racing Association put on perhaps the greatest air races of all time this year; their efforts are appreciated.

In years past, race teams have inspired us with their sportsmanship and camaraderie as they work with their competitor to prepare their planes. This year was no different. The Sports Class had its share of problems, but no team faced them alone. It's this selfless support that embodies the Sport Class and the air racing spirit.
Blue Thunder Air Racing is proud to walk away with a new qualifying record of 349.507 mph, a new race record of 344.495 mph, and the second place trophy. Our success is directly linked to Ryan Falconer building a great engine, ERC Racing Fuels helping that engine achieve its full potential, AeroShell Oil keeping that engine happy, and Hartzell Propellers turning that power into speed. A special thanks goes out to the Blue Thunder crew, whose tireless efforts are always appreciated. And a very special thanks to all the fans who support and encouraged us through the years.
Plans are underway for next year's races; but first, Blue Thunder's next stop will be Aviation Nation at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV on November 13th and 14th. You won't want to miss this air show, which includes an air race demonstration. We hope to see you there!
