Blue Thunder is a
modified Thunder Mustang that owner/pilot John Parker built specifically
for air racing. The Thunder Mustang is a composite, kit-built aircraft
modeled after the North American P-51D Mustang on a 75% scale. Blue
Thunder competes in the Sport Class at the National Championship Air
Races in Reno, NV. It is the fastest normally aspirated (no turbo or
supercharger) aircraft in history at 383 mph and holder of the class C1c
3km and 15/25km speed-records at 374 mph and 376 mph respectively. As
the current holder of the fastest race record of 344.495 mph and the
fastest qualifying record of 349.507 mph, Blue Thunder is a leader in
the air-racing world.
 Blue
Thunder’s owner/pilot John Parker has a long association with aviation
excellence. He is former Air Force captain, retired airline captain, and
a three-time Formula One Air Racing Champion. His scratch-built Formula
One racer, American Air Racing Special, now resides in the EAA Museum in
Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
As a sponsor for Blue
Thunder Air Racing, your company will be exposed to over two
million potential customers through
news reports, magazine articles, and
public appearances. Blue Thunder Air Racing will be involved in
ten air shows annually including the National Championship Air Races at
Reno, NV and Aviation Nation at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV.
Sponsors receive VIP treatment at the
events we attend, along with web links and advertising on our website.
There are five general levels of annual
sponsorship available. All are negotiable and flexible to best suit your
needs.
Standard ($500) – Twelve-inch
advertisement on the raceplane and inclusion on the Blue Thunder Air
Racing website.
Bronze ($1000) – Sixteen-inch
advertisement on the raceplane and inclusion on the Blue Thunder Air
Racing website, press releases, and fan reports.
Silver ($2500) – Twenty-four-inch
advertisement on the raceplane and inclusion on the Blue Thunder Air
Racing website, press releases, and fan reports. In addition, your
individual product advertisements on the raceplane and website. Also,
distribution of sponsor-provided flyers at Blue Thunder attended events.
Gold ($5000) – Thirty-six-inch
advertisement on the raceplane and inclusion on the Blue Thunder Air
Racing website, press releases, and fan reports. In addition, the your
individual product advertisements on the raceplane and website,
distribution of sponsor-provided flyers at Blue Thunder attended events,
and inclusion of your name and logo on merchandise. Also, customized
product testimonials from Blue Thunder Air Racing.
Platinum ($10,000 and up) – Forty-eight-inch
advertisement on the raceplane and inclusion on the Blue Thunder Air
Racing website, press releases, and fan reports. In addition, your
individual product advertisements on the raceplane and website,
distribution of sponsor-provided flyers at Blue Thunder attended events,
inclusion of your name and logo on merchandise, customized product
testimonials from Blue Thunder Air Racing. Plus, Blue Thunder crew
uniforms to reflect your involvement in sport aviation and the limited
use of the Blue Thunder and crew for advertising purposes (such as photo
shoots).
In addition, Blue Thunder Air Racing can
make appearances at shows and events
that will specifically benefit you such as Oshkosh and Arlington, or
even your home town.
